I'm building Sho because I couldn't say for sure what I was subscribed to. Receipts were lost in my inbox and debit orders on my statement. If that sounds familiar, I'd love your help getting it right.
Questions people ask
Do I have to connect my bank account?
No. Sho works from receipts you forward, alerts, SMSs and screenshots you choose to share, and things you add yourself. We never ask for banking logins.
What happens to my screenshots and statements?
We read them once to find repeat charges, keep only who you paid, how much and when, and delete the file straight away. Balances and other transactions are never stored.
Which municipal bills can Sho read?
We're starting with the City of Johannesburg (including City Power), then Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, eThekwini and Cape Town. Each city switches on once we've tested it on real bills. Sho needs about three months of bills before it can tell what's unusual for you.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the pilot. After it, there'll be a free version and an optional paid one, and everyone in the pilot gets the paid version at half price for life. You'll never be charged without choosing to pay.
When can I start?
We're inviting people in small groups so we can help everyone properly. Join the pilot and we'll email you when your spot opens.
